The work aims in optimizing the MPP version of PAM-CRASH, a crash test simulation software developed by the ESI Group, for efficient usage with the hardware platforms found at BMW AG, crash test simulation department (most are SGI ORIGIN 2000 machines).
The work started at the 1st of December 1997.The project abbrevation EPaCTS stands for "Effective Parallelisation of Crash Test Software".
