Call for Papers

14th International Workshop on
High-Level Parallel Programming Models and
Supportive Environments

held in conjunction with

Rome, Italy, May 25th 2009

Call for Paper in ASCII and Adobe-PDF.

Scope:

HIPS 2009 is a full-day workshop to be held at IPDPS 2009 focusing on high-level programming of parallel architectures. Its goal is to bring together researchers working in the areas of applications, computational models, language design, compilers, system architecture, and programming tools to discuss new developments in programming such systems.

One of the keys for high productivity in parallel processing are techniques that facilitate efficient usage of such environments. This covers, for example, programming languages, programming tools, system middleware, as well as communication libraries. These techniques have to be integrated to provide a full solution to the problem.

Final Paper Submission

The deadline for the camera-ready paper is February 15th. Papers should be uploaded to the IPDPS website and not EDAS. However you will be required to provide your paper's EDAS ID during the submission process. The web site with the author kit for the workshop papers is available at the IPDPS home page.

Schedule and Submission Procedure:

Submission opening: November 1st, 2008
Papers due: November 25th, 2008 extended deadline December 2nd.
Author notification: January 6th, 2009, Delayed until January 14th.
Camera-ready final papers due: February 15th, 2009
HIPS workshop: Monday, May 25th, 2009

The HIPS workshop proceedings will be published electronically along with the IPDPS conference proceedings. Submitted manuscripts should be formatted as 10-point fonts, single-spaced, and two-column format. The page size is US letter (8.5x11 inch). The maximal length is 8 pages. All papers must be in English.

The workshop uses EDAS conference manager for submission and notification. An author needs to register with EDAS as a user if this has not been done previously. Start the paper by providing the title and the abstract in plain text, and then submit the full paper in pdf. Please click here to start the process and follow the instructions.
