Data centre of Bosch-Siemens-Hausgeräte in Traunreut

Within the introductory course to information systems the Chair for Information Systems organizes a field trip to the data centre of Bosch-Siemens-Hausgeräte in Traunreut, Bavaria. The goal of the excursion is to illustrate the support of real life business processes by modern information and communication technology.

The lecture on Grid Computing of the Chair for Computer Architecture (I10) was held as a block course at the monastery of Frauenchiemsee. The travel costs of the students including transfer, room, and food were partially covered.

Ars Electronica Linz, September 2009

15 students participated in the excursion to Ars Electronica in Linz. The exhebition with the title "Human Nature" covered the topics around humans, nature, science and art. The excursion was organized by Chair for Computer Aided Medical Procedures & Augmented Reality. Here are some pictures.

IBM Böblingen, 29.06.2009

The Chair of Computer Architecture (I10) organized an excursion to the research and development laboratory of IBM in Böblingen near Stuttgart. The laboratory is one of the largest IBM research centers worldwide with over 2200 researchers working in more than 40 projects. It has close collaborations with universities all over Germany.

Lecture on Enterprise Architecture Management, June 2009

Part of the lecture on Enterprise Architecture Management of the SEBIS chair are mini projects at industry partners. The travel costs for the tutors to the industry partners were funded.

The excursion of the Chair for Information Systems (I17) visited the Rechenzentrum Nord of the Staatsministerium für Finanzen in Nürnberg. The bus transfer was covered.
