Codex (Controlled Deterministic Execution)

Project Goal

This project focuses on the development of methods and techniques to control a nondeterministic parallel program. These techniques will be applied during the phases of testing and debugging of the development life cycle. The resulting techniques will improve test coverage and the detection of hidden errors (due to race conditions). The prototype implementation is currently made for PVM.
