| Research Overview |
|
The mission of this group is to conduct practical research in the area
of run-time tools for parallel and distributed systems, including
programming libraries and middleware. These tools typically acquire
information on the behavior of an executing program. Depending on the
type of tool, this data can be presented to the user (typically after
some transformation), it can be automatically analyzed, or it can even
be used to automatically control the program's further execution. The group's main focus is on distributed memory systems and programming models. In particular, we are looking at PVM and MPI, but also at object oriented middleware, such as CORBA. Specifically, our research interests are focused on:
